Narrative filmmaking is our true passion and we strive to make it our ikigai. We gather a compendium of meaningful ideas – this could be a thing that inspires OR bothers us; and let it out into the world to derive a change for the better. Cinema has always appealed to us as a magical tool to communicate in a language beyond words.
Cinema’s true power lies in deriving empathy by intertwining characters, situations and atmospheres and presenting it in a way that it directly speaks to the soul of a viewer.
We have been film students, theorists and ultimately filmmakers and what gives us an edge over everyone in narrative filmmaking is that we perform and create like professionals yet understand from an amateur viewer’s perspective.
It’s a truly dynamic and rewarding process to build something with all your heart and intent in it and still be objective and critical about it to make it special and unique for every viewer.
Narrative filmmaking is not just putting scenes together with dialogue, performance and music. It goes deeper into understanding what a particular material needs to have – just the right blend of pacing, engagement and meaning to drive a point home.
